how hard would it be? /expensive. for me and dad to try to replace a zx2 engine. my dad is a former body shop employee and knows his way around a couple of tools. and i have only changes my oil. How hard could it be?

It is not possible for anyone to tell you how difficult it would be for you to do any work on your car. The best advice I can give you is to look at any wire or hose running from the engine. If it connects to something that won't come out with the engine, then remove it.
