Well I won´t swear to it but I one a 2002 ZX2 and a 94 GT and I think it would rough to do as i don´t think the fenders will line up properly with the doors. I will check this weekend when i get a chance to put them both side by side for a while. from what i can tell so far the differnt appearance is mainly just the exterior sheet metal, I think the structure has remained virtually the same.

It doesn´t sound as if you want the fenders and all, just the power train right? Then the best I can say is have a good welder on hand and measure, measure, measure, that is if you are taking the subframe as well, if not good luck cause I don´t know how compatible they are.Did I mention to measure? And mark every measurement for comparison. With enough skill and determination you could put a 427 in your scort but it´s all up to you, and your pocketbook!

I´d take them both as complete as possible and set them side by side.and measure every thing possible.just take it slow and think, did you get the pedals?shifter and linkages?does the exhaust run the same?Diameter? fuel lines and brake lines?radiator hoses the same or radiator have to be changed? If you keep yours fill and plug the cooler.A.C.?that´ll be fun.throttle cable?cruise?Intake routing?battery location?Fuse blocks.Man you might as well be puttin a chevy motor in a yugo. But on the other hand I found a GT motor for my Pony today. However I plan on a complete tear down and build up so I´ll be able to tackle some of the problems during tat process.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I guess I misunderstood, when you said front clip I was under the impression that you meant the body. Which btw may be doable. The engine swap is doable if you TAKE YOUR TIME. It will be a little time consuming but as was previously mentioned, measure, look, look again, and then measure. as for putting a big block under the hood, yep, but don´t think your boltin´ up a tranny.

Oh sure ya could.Just have to weld a new center section in the fire wall, get your self a mustang front clip,a ford 9" rearend weld in a real frame you know. And when ya get it all done,Strap your self in and hang on.I didn´t say it would be easy or practical but if they can put a V8 in a motor cycle why not?I´ve always wanted to put a first gen wagon on a ranger 4x4 and put er on 33´s.heh heh
