Joey_Twowagons: We arrived in west seattle (to visitgrandsons) having driven from Portland on slushy/icy roads on friday morning, Feb 11th. It took us 5 hours for 160 miles, a white knuckle kind of drive. But at least we were glad there was no snow in west seattle yet; It started that p.m. The next morning we had 8" inches of white stuff. Our tires are the smooth summer highway kind.
Hoping for warmer drier weather when heading back to TX this weekend; where currently it is well below freezing in the RioGrande valley.
Nice to hear that you weren't involved in one of the massive Texas pileups that they have been having there lately. I kinda figured that no Escorts were harmed! That and you might not have electricity 24x7 in Texas right now.

The electric-co-ops in south Texas were cycling down-time to cut down on the total demand; so our place down there was periodically dark for an hour so so.

At least it ain't a Hummer. :D
Wonder if that includes motorcycles? (note: mine ranges from mid-thirties to low-fifties MPG... which is hhhooorrriiibbbllleee consider it's only 400lbs)

Coworker showed me a picture of some big trucks that would travel around just to photograph themselves (as activists) intentionally blocking-off the few charging stations that exist at these sites. We marveled at the fact that they apparently had nothing better to do. :)
