Come on guy's no way a Dodge rust less then a Ford. And Ford is way more reliable. I'm a auto mechanic for over 30 years and worse rust I have seen are Dodge and Mazda reliability Dodge has none. There electric and electronic problems and gremlins are driving mechanics bonkers.

Factory installed Honda rotors have what looks like grey paint on them. It makes sense as much of the surface will flash rust on the lot.

What really blew my mind was larger Acura rotors having a little groove of varying lengths cut into the outermost edge of the rotors.
It occured to me they are so big, that they had to be balanced.

I'd like to know what kind of paint wouldn't be scraped off just pulling the vehicle to/from the transport and to the space on the dealer lot. They probably don't have as many "fast & furious" lot hands joy riding new cars at the Honda/Acura d'ships though.

I was asking the same question. It scratches off the braking surface and leaves the rest a nice satin silver. But clear as day, SOMETHING is sprayed on. The center of the hub is raw. It's enough to keep the fins and ''hub" from rusting where it's visible.
