    That's right.

I am willing to trade my aftermarket exhaust (Custom made, 2.25" steel, mandrel bent, 18" Vibrant resonator, out to a.. I forget the name muffler.) It sounds nice, not very raspy. Horty has heard it and says it sounds pretty nice. I just don't want the sound anymore. I want it quiet again!

I want your stock exhaust, plus cash (like $150 bucks). plus, you pay to take both our cars to a shop, and have the exhausts swapped.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Hmmm well I am in the market for a new exhuast system. Since the deal with Horty fell through I'm interested... mines stock except the tip is split in 2, does not alter the noise at all though. Its got a brand new muffler, new flex pipe, and fairly new pipes for the most part. No resonater, cat is still good though the part before the flex pipe is a bit rusty, no leaks though.

Good. I'm a mod here too now, so when you post garbage, it will get deleted.

Ask for friend with the white GT if he's interested.

It's not a joke. I want my passengers to be comfortable on the highway.

from a GT.. damn, cause my parts car has redone exhuast with a resonator... i thought the resonator was useless? :S... umm, the best description i can give would be that the tip is like something you'd see off a grand am, where it just splits at the end, except cylinder shaped not box.

    http://www.texastransams.com/mufflers/i ... ipes_s.jpg

sort of like that but straighter and less gay looking.

Just put a new muffler on you tool .. you don't need to change the whole exhaust man .. put on a flowmaster.. they are not loud and it will still give you performance.. why change the whole thing dude.. if it is only quiet you want go with a flowmaster 100 bucks or a silver knight .. 89 bucks.

Then get it put in .. 50 bucks.. I ordered a flowmaster for mine now .. just a universal 2.5 " inlet and outlet .. and done .. put a stainless tip on it and I am done.

    1) Muffler wont change the sound that much. I've already had different mufflers on it.
    2) I said I want a stock exhaust system.
    3) I'm not spending any more on this exhaust system.

On my parts car it does have the stock muffler. Its got brand new piping, Cat. and resonator and flex pipe. but again, the part before the flex pipe is a bit rusty.

I don't know why you want cash plus the stock exhaust though .. and them to pay for the swap to ... to me thats a rip dude.. my whole exhaust headers and all was only 650 out the door.. and thats pacesetter headers... magnaflow high flow cat and pipe... and 2.5" exhaust aswell. I called to price out a new manifole .. and that alone is 200 bucks + tax.. so the way I see it to replace your system with a stock one .. is prolly around the same price.. so it should be just a straight up swap unless you want to juice someone.. but then again thats just my opinion

To get them swapped should be like $50 bucks. So, you're gettinga f ull aftermarket exhaust (that cost me over $700 - Yes, it did. With different muffler combos, buying resonators and having them isntalled after the fact, etc.) for $200. Thats still a good deal. Plus, when u get a new exhaust, what do you do with the old one? Leave it at the garage most likely. It then gets thrown out.

And speaking of a rip off, YOU are the guy who wanted 4 G's for a ford escort with a salvage title.

sorry its not a salvage titel.. it is a rebuilt title.. and you have seen it and cannot say it isn't the cleanest one you have ever seen .. that is why I was offered 4500 this past summer but I just knew the kid would ruin it so I didn't take it. Its to nice. and you also wanted it aswell. My car is the cleanest low mileage scort around. and you and everyone else know that cause you guys were guacking at it.

I am not here to argue however but if someone were to trade you striaght up I think that would be a good deal .. but not cash and pay to switch them over.. you should carry your own bills for the work done to switch it over. Thats just my opinion and if you don't like that then owell .. but free country so I am entitled to my opinion. and that is that.

also and by the way you can put a normal muffler on .. your muffler now is not chambered .. most high flows are not .. that is why they are so throaty and loud, when a normal stock style muffler has 3 chambers in it to quiet the sound. If you muffler guy didn't tell you that .. its cause he wants you to waste your money there to do the whole exhaust over. anyone who knows about mechanical .. knows this .. if you would like I can sell you MITCHELL ON DEMAND 2007 complete set to help out your mechanic.

Now that was just joking aside about helping your mechanic out .. but I do sell that software.

Salvage and rebuilt are the same, are they not? Rebuilt means it was rebranded from salvage. I think, anyway.

yeah, i wanted it. Your point? I'm still not dropping 4 gs on an escort, let a lone a rebuilt one. Geez, you sound like colin ' mine is the cleanest low mileage around. ' Get over it. I'm sure there are others out there in great condition too. Just cause they're not on this site doesn't mean they do'nt exist.
And again, what happens when you get a new exhaust? you throw your old one out. So you're getting a new one for $200. Still not a bad deal.....

What muffler is on my car right now?

Ohh, that's right. You do'nt know! so don't talk shit.
