Kid backed into me with his trailer hitch and screwed my bumper up good.

    I'm in Portland Connecticut

I'm looking for a (hopefully) blue rear bumper for my escort. If you don't have one, do you know any junkyards in or near CT that have escorts in stock?

    Thanks guys!

Hey kuwacs, I have a 96 wagon and want to swap out to 97 up rear bumper. I have other stuff right now I am working on before I do that but if you haven't found one by then I would be more than happy to get rid of mine. It is not blue my car is silver and the po thought it would look good to coat the front and rear bumpers in plasti-dip but it comes off. I have removed part of it without too much trouble on hot days. I live in Alabama though so it would have to be shipped.

I sure do, I have only recently been able to move my car back closer to me and am collecting the final parts to finish it. I haven't picked up a new style bumper but am a little closer to a pick n pull yard. Haven't gone to see what they have yet but I won't get rid of my old one untill I hear back from you.

If luccaonline lives in the only Guayanilla I know of, I would be interested to learn the shipping cost for a "bumper cover".
I would like to find an extra 2nd gen Escort wagon rear bumper, or even a couple of extras; as I have 3 of those wagons in my family, and they arent easy to find anymore in pick-n-pull yards.

Dear denisond3, Guayanilla is located in the south coast of Puerto Rico. The shipping would be like $100 or more, but I would pay that since it is very difficult to find in junkyards in the island. It is urgent for me to get a bumper in good shape since state laws does not allow me to use my wagon with a broken bumper. Hey, you already have 3 bumpers! What do you want to make? a bumper warehouse?

Mazdafan, I would pay you $$ for the bumper and for the shipping charges. You just tell me how much you want for the bumper and I'll request a shipping estimate at UPS or FedEx.

I have email but only have access from my phone at the moment, I will sell you my old one, let me get out to a yard so I can find a new style bumper and I will be ready to get rid of this one. I think I can pick up a bumper for around fourty or fifty and would get rid of this one for the same amount. I may can get you pics later in the week if you want to wait for them. I have a build thread that has the car the bumper is from if you want to check it out.

luccaonline: Having three Escort wagons, each of which has already had its rear bumper smashed and replaced, I figure its only a matter of time before I will need more. The safety inspection laws where we live in Virginia probably require a rear bumper - if the inspector says so. In our other home, in far south Texas, lots of people have broken or missing rear bumpers, even badly cracked windshields &missing front bumpers. But I still want a spare rear bumper sitting in my personal parts stockpile.
That cost of shipping a bumper to Guayanilla seems very reasonable if its that low. I have to pay $100 to get one shipped the 500 miles from northern Ohio to northern Virginia; though it would be less if I had a business address to give.
