So, after putting down on paper (or in Excel) all I've done to the car the last little while, the going prices and conditions of other Escorts, and what condition my car actually is in, and everything that could possibly need to be replaced in the next 6 months, and a lot of thinking, it's a go for fixing up the scort. It won't be mine when I'm done, but it will still be in the family, and I'm the un-official family mechanic. My dad is paying for all the repairs, and I am supplying the labour. In turn he will get the car back from me for his/family use, although he said I could still take it out to the occaisional Escort meet :p Things are going slowly as time sparse. I'm currently working on average 9hrs a day, with an hours drive each way. I've ordered all the parts, and raided the autowreckers for as much as I could. After seeing customscortgt's post, I think I need to find a new yard, I wish I got all my stuff for $45 8O Anywho, I thought I'd share a few pics.

As a studying Engineer, it's my duty to build a spreadsheet for everything

Looks ugly, but we can fix it

Tough to tell by the photo, but after I swerved then nailed the deer, I hit the brakes since I couldn't see crap all after the airbag deployed. This is what's left of my front tires, a huge flatspot and a 50ft skid on the road. Tough to tell by the pics, but it melted the rubber :!: I still drive the same road everyday, and well over a month later my skid marks are as fresh as when I laid them.

Next step this week is to drill out the front rad support. God this pic just screams "Someone get rid of this catylitic converter and throw turbo on me!!!"

Except for the condenser leaning against my bike, all this will be going on in time.

Good to hear she will roam the streets again and still be in the family. :)
