Ok guys and gals, I was browsing through Ebay like I´m sure most of you do and I ran across this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1873887481 This is a cute, cheap little NOS kit. It uses Whip-it cartrides as its NOS supply. The website and this ad Hype it up WAY too much. The first down fall I see with the kit is the fact that it uses a cracker to open the cartridges. Anyone who has used Whip-it for purposes other that despensing whip cream (you know what I mean) that the cracker has to be tightened all the way down, then loosened to release the pressure in the cartridge. Kind of hard to do if you are driving. Also those cartridges empty quick, so I´m not sure how effective they would be on the track. Maybe good for a few 10ths, and an mph or two. Another problem is there is no provision for fuel enrichment. So as soon as you open the cartridge you will go WAY lean. Personally I would have put in a solenoid so you coud release the pressure while driving, and also have some kind of provision for fuel enrichment. Also using multiple cartridges would be better for a longer shot, and better ET´s.

LOL "Increase horsepower from 9%-12% in an amazing boost of power!"
Lets see, they make 130 horsepower, and a 50 shot of regualr NOS is roughly 38.45% of the power.
So 12% power increase would give them, wow... a whopping 15.6 extra horsepower. enough to take on Civic SIs. Oh wait the new SI´s take 8.5 seconds to get to 60 anyway
I hope no one is bidding on that, at least from this website, seriously...

Come on guys... What is wrong with NOS??? Really?? Extra power is extra power, rather you get it by forcing more air into you engine, or by spraying it in. Shoot, there it a post on here like 4 pages or more long talking about making extra power with an air compressor. Isn´t that as "bad" as running NOS? NOS has many advantages over boost. For one, you can drive around town with getting the exact same gas milage as you did before you put the bottle in your car. Also, you dont have to wait for a bottle to spool up. Best of all it is it´s own intercooler. Yes it has it disadvantages too, but so does every thig esle. NOS is no less respectable than boost when it comes to ways of making extra power.

I dont have anything against N2O. I agree it doesn´t have to wait to the 2600 revs like my turbo, and yeah I dont have to have the FMIC that makes everyone stare when I´m parking at the grocery store, and worst of all yeah when I´m driving "nice" I´m running about 24mpg from my 28mpg. And at the track on max boost I´m hoping to get an equivalent to 14mpg of race gas.

However...to be honest if I had N2O in the scort it wouldnt´ do me any good ---- Because it would always be EMPTY!

I think N20 is basically good for the track. Like blade said A LONG time ago, the more you use it the more you have to refill it, which gets expensive. with the Turbo you have it ALL the time and it´s basically a one time expense, except the gas mileage part. I´m gettin 15-20 mpg in my STOCK EGT so I really don´t care about gas mileage. I´d use NOS if I went to the track regularly, but in reality I´d like a turbo to be spoolin as I´m showing a Mustang my taillights
