Hello, my name is Kara . I own a 95 Ford Escort 1.9 L V4 engine and am looking for the main wiring harness, the "instrumental" harness. It goes from the fuse box to the dash board, my wiring is bad at both the fuse box and the radio. Mine went bad and Ford doesn't make them anymore. My car is all auto (doorlocks, windows, mirrors, seatbelts, etc.) Do you know or have anything that my help? Do you know if there is anything I can do since Ford discontinued a part on a car that is under 10 years old?

Thanks~Kara

Hey kara, welcome to the school of hard knocks :)

That harness can be had (not quite so) eaisly off a parts car in the junkyard, and if all else fails (and I mean all else) you can pull the harness and splice in your own wires.

Are you sure it's the harness? Exactly what is your problem? Depending on the problem, it can be much more *practical* (keyword = practical) to just run in there and re-route some wires and ghettojob it. After all, it is a ford, and the ghetto work will nicely compliment the shoddy engineering found throughout the rest of the car. lol. I love bashing fords, cause my family owns 4 of their horrible cars. Do yourself a favor, get a better job, and stay the hell away from ford.

I'm kidding... sorta.

Pics? I don't know if it's the connectors or the wires themselves that are bad from your description. Should be obtainable from the junkyard though.
