    do you have a multimeter?

with the car off, put your negative lead to ground and the positive lead to the redwire. if you have no voltage, turn the key on. if you have voltage when the key is on, thats your switched power source.

do the same to the other wire. if the previous wire was the switched, then this wire should be the constant. double check it just incase.

anywho.. did you spend the 7 dollars or whatever it is for a wiring adapter that just plugs right in?

I had this same type of issue with my sentra I used 2 have and It ended up that out of all the options for the 4 wires connecting them all worked best. My cd player worked and so did my dash lights which was a problem depending how it was hooked up. so try connecting all 4 and seeing what happens it should be fine if its a newer headunit it will have a surge protecter incase it shorts or sumthing....but i take no fault if it fucks it up thats just how my kenwood was with my 93 sentra xe

To make it so your dash lights don't turn on while ur head unit is on is to not plug in the "orange" cable. That's what I did. Wire everything else up according to color.

everything is right i had a blown fuse and couldnt figure out which one it was....turns out the "constant Current" for the radio is wired through the power mirror fuse......and it was blowing the 2.5 fuse so a upgrade to a 7.5 fixed it!

yellow to yellow red to red

or if your like me and you dont want to have to turn your car to acc or on to turn on the radio (using the key) then wire red to the yellow and yellow to the yellow, but then you must turn your deck off every time you shut down the car. No biggie for me, but now i have it hooked up the wussy way that needs a key, just because i have a fantom face deck that hides
