i have power windows and i'm here to tell you that all ou have to do is plull the motors and harnesses from another car. I used a wagon as my donor vehicle. You will have to drill holes in ur doors to mount the motors, but other than that, soon as its hooked up. it works. All you do is remove the door harness you have and replace it. No other mods.

ok.....you want power stuff right? Go to junkyard..........PUll a harness. The harness connects to the car at the door hinge, unclip that whole thing, bring everything u want, locks, mirrors, windows.......all the power options you want and bring them home. Remove your stock harness by unclipping it at the door hinge.....replace it w/ the power options wire harness...install everything and it will work. Only exception is the power mirror connector that goes on dash, u'll have to figure out how to install that, mine came stock.

Man, guy buy the stuff and put it in, it will work. I have a 92 gt and my windows work. My friend had a 91(he's the one that told me it was all possible) and it works. See, the 4 wires coming out of the fuse block are ONLY the wires that need to be fused. There are about 7 wires total that go to a 2 door escort. My harness was from a 4 door escort, but i modified my switches to accomdate for a 2 door. Like i said, just go grab the door harnesses, motors and plug them in. The motor will need a lil bit of tweaking because the 2 top bolts are set higher than that of a manual window so you will need to tap new holes for it. Other than that, its an easy installation.

so you are telling me, at your door hinge....when you open the door and you see that rubber hose going into the interior of your car from the door, when you pop it off, theres a 4 pin connector there? Thats where u disconnect your door harness....i dont think you are looking in the right spot man. For the door harness, you dont need to go near the fuse block.

those are probably the only wires from the harness that actually need fused. The rest prolly go to other places and you just dont notice. I'm sitting here w/ my repair manual and it does not make any notations about ponies only having the basic harness. but i could be wrong....Go to a "u pull it" junkyard and pull one harness, switch and window motor...install it. And if it doesnt work, then return it.
