Went out and bought some etching solution, gonna etch something in the corner of my driver/passenger side windows, and maybe in the rear triangle windows. I was thinking along the lines of "ESCORT" in the front, and the ford symbol in the back. Any suggestions, tips, etc?

oh yes, i'm still practicing. I have picture frame glass that i've been perfecting my methods on. so far 15 minutes seems to be a good time to wait for the reaction. Now i'm working on making stencils on contact paper...and i gotta find out what kinda contact paper works best. Not taking any chances on this one. I feel like i'm getting a tattoo :)

just dont etch too deep. I dont know about a back window, but i know front windows have a plastic sheet in the middle to keep the glass together if it breaks. Etch too deep and u might get to that plastic...But correct me if i'm wrong.

yeah, your right, but from what i've seen from practicing on the picture frame, the etchin solution won't go nearly deep enough to get to the plastic, so i think i'm safe. The only thing i'm worried about is the difference between etching on a horizontal surface, to a verticle surface. Dripping, runoff and all that. I'm getting better at it though!

ever think of just removing the windows for better work room? i imagine the rear windows would be a tad bit easier to take out than the door windows. but both difficult in their own little way(s).

I tried it vertically with the frame glass, the cream stuck pretty good. When i sprayed it off, it was either too diluted, or it didn't stay on the glass long enough for a reaction to occur, even under close scrutiny. I'm getting close guys, you'll see the pics :)
