So everyone has been asking why FEOA went bye bye for a few days. The short verion is this: We ran out of funds. I got an e-mail from the hosting company telling me this thrusdayish. I got it all figured out and taken care of sunday fairly early. Well after they got the payment they sent me the new account info..... new wasnt good as we already had an account we just needed renewed. Their story was that they e-mailed me originally on Nov 24th about the situation. Either I didn´t get it or accidentally deleted it. I´m usually pretty good about not missing e-mail though. so who knows. At anyrate they decided it had been to long and deleted everything. Luckily after I e-mailed them panicked they found a database backup of all the message board stuff, articles etc. However the files (graphics, your car photos etc) could not be saved.

So with the database backup and donnie doing some fancy work with an update of some of the files we got back online. We lost a bit of custom code but it should take us but a week or two to get it all finished up.

So the moral of the story is that I have been paying for the hosting personally. Paying members have really paid just enough to cover stickers. I just rented a house and I´m getting married in 5 months. So I can no longer afford to throw the money at this thing myself. FEOA needs your support. If you guys join FEOA it will cost you $10. $10 is enough to run FEOA for about 15 days depending on misc fees etc. So what we would like is if you guys would be willing to join the club you will keep FEOA alive. If enough people join we will offer anything we can get our hands on to members at or just above cost to cover all fees etc. I´ll try really hard to get you guys some sweet stuff. You will also get the discounts at the venders listed on the membership section....which we need to remake

Donnie (slapyo) will be able to fill you guys in on who we all get discounts from.

Rest assured we will not proffit from this at all. if there is money left over we will figure out a way that it will get back to you. whether its discounted t-shirts, stickers whatever.

so PPPLLLLEEEEAAAASSSEEE help guys (and gals). I would hate to see FEOA die after all this time.

that is kind of a cool idea. We could work out the details on that. I don´t want anyone to feel like they have to donate tons of stuff. just be active...get membership etc. I do accept donations peronally if you have a lot extra

just kidding. That is a good idea and if you find something let us know. Money goes to Donnie. not sure how he works it out though... Donnie!!!???

there is a link on the Home page of FEOA to subscribe to FEOA. we use the paypal system to keep track of the memberships. as for an auction, it is a possibility that we can think about in the future. right now having memberships is important for us to keep the site alive. so please join, tis only $10 a year. i will have to do some coding to get back the whole members only section of the site. will probably have to wait till after i am done with finals though.

I know your not asking for donations but any little extra will help. Guys, I know money is tight but anything you can give to F.E.O.A. would help a bunch and we won´t have the "down time" like the last couple of days. I´ve been wanted to subscribe and be apaying member but the thing is I´m stretched really thin in my budget as it is and I´ve been trying to save up for the KYB struts so i can finally get my car aligned. I´m thinking about just ordering two of them for now and wait to have my rear ones done till next year. So, eventually, I´ll help out anyway I can. I didn´t think you guys were paying for this out of your own pockets. If I did i would have given the fees as soon as i signed up.

Paypal is very secure and has some good comsumer protections in place just in case something does happen. Did you know you can dispute charges on your card for up to three years!?

we have some crazy stuff happen with our business. people realize they spent to much money so they dispute it and then we have to prove we sent the items etc. only problem is it costs us cash everytime something is disputed.

anyway *L* donnie would probably take a personal check if your worried about the net.
