LOL, i bet this has been asked before, but i searched, and well, i'm asking.

Who makes an UDP and who here has one, and what do you think??

I'm looking to increase the available power in my car, without using any ricer mods, like an intake or weed wacker exhaust.

So far i'm planning for a K&N drop in, and maybe an UDP...not sure what else.........maybe a 1 gen header, with a very quiet 2" exhaust???? :?

yeah i'm scrappin the idea, they wont suffice with a big stereo

you could get your alt rebuild to produce more juice to suffice your bigger stereo.

the 50% UDP isnt any lighter than the 25% UDP, and wont get you any more power than the 25%.

all the 2nd gen escorts have the same output alternator, although the later years had smaller pullies on them, and so you could just choose the right sized pully to overdrive your alternator.

I'm running the BDR on mine and I've had no problems. I think I might have been the first 1.9L guy toi do it when they advertised them for the SPI guys on Focaljet. I've been running it since July of 2002 (and put about 35,000 miles on it so far) with no problems.
