So I've been searching to no avail to find a company or tuner who is making tune files for the Zx2 I already have a SCT ITSX tuner that is unmarried that I'm hoping to use in the car if I can find someone who does tunes any help or direction would he greatly appreciated! For reference my car is a 2001 Ford escort zx2 2.0 vin 3 with the stock automatic shifter ( yes I'm keeping it automatic and tuning it I don't need any flack about it)

You need to call around to local tuning shops and see if one has the SCT software and is willing to tune your car. Unless you want to pay for the SCT pro racer package and tune it yourself. You most likely aren't going to get a tune online.

Finding open useable tunes today is going to be very very hard, most thing when the zx2 was alive and well many years back, had so many options running around and open tunes, all of the tunes I had saved over the years in my book marks are now dead and the way back machine does not have the pages saved. Good luck on your quest.

Thanks for the reply I might end up getting the software but I want to do alot of research first before I start trying to make my own tunes that's a good way to destroy my car if I don't know what I'm doing but I'll definitely look into those options thanks for the reply. I was pretty reluctant to call shops as they will kost likely just want me to dyno tune it which is ofcourse expensive and I already have the tuner but no harm in atleast asking them if anyone happens to come across anything please let me know thanks!

A dyno tune is literally the only way to get the maximum performance out of your car as it sits. A tune you get off the internet is basically the same as the "one size fits all" tunes that come preloaded on programmers and will never be as effective. If you were to manual swap your car then you could run a ZX2 S/R or LXQ1 box code ECU which would give you about as close to a preloaded tune as you can get. I've been in the Escort online community for over 10 years nobody ever did much with the automatics in these cars. Unless things have changed the software is $800 and if all you are going to run is an intake and exhaust you're basically paying that $800 for an extra 10-15 hp, provided you know how to tune that is.
