I actually had to finally (after 8.5 years of owning the car) actually had to use the crappy jackstand that came with the car. Now I'm having trouble getting it back in (I almost didn't get it out because of rust on the crappy lugwrench, but that's a separate rant). I might have an easier go at it if I knew if the bottom faced the outside wall or the spare tire. Which is it?

This is the first time I've ever had to change a flat away from home, and I've been driving since 1980. Usually when I find a tire in a nail it's because I was doing something else to the car and happened to see it and or was maybe causing a slow leak and I noticed that. This time it was causing a fast leak!
