easiest way, which is how i did this on my buddies gt. Secure wire to your antenna, push it through the rubber gasket for all your wires comin in under the dash, and then run it under the door sills, and under the back seat, up to your amp. And a tip run audio and power wire seperate. dont want feed back now.

or you could drill a hole... like stereo stores do alot of the times... then they throw a gromet on it and viola, hole in the firewall... that is what i did, when i had my dash out i wanted to re drill the hole up just under the diagnostic box thing because that would be much cleaner, i would not have a mile of line run under my hood but i couldnt find a large enough bit for my FAT 8 gauge wire :)

I thought about doing that too. I was too scared because I didn't want to hit anything important on the engine side. I also don't want to melt the wire either by putting too close to anything really hot.

I have 4 gauge wire both positive and negative runing thru the gromet by the brake pedal. You have to be real careful when you drill. You dont want to hit any wires.

yeah i drilled it beside the brake booster... there really is a ton of room... its just a matter of getting the drill in there... i mean i guess if thats working for you there is no easier way (no beyond basic tools required).

Main Gromet (under each fender)

That is the proper place to put any added wires. Doesn't compromise the firewall/not near anything hot/no chance of drilling into anything that doesn't like drills.

I didnt know there was one on the ddrivers side... huh.

Anyway's, for the passenger side one, no you dont have to take off any panels. Just look behind the motor for a big rubber thing with lots and lots of wires running through it. Either run it through the existing hole, or cut a slit in it for the new wires.

The only panel that you have to deal with is that plastic inner fender splash shield in the front wheel well (a philips screw driver takes care of that fast)

It's not in the engine bay at all on either side.

I can take pics if you need them.
