Hi guys,

Does anyone know where I can buy transmission cooler lines for 97 ATX wagon? They were rusted in the middle, cracked and started leaking transmission fluid at an alarming after I had my radiator replaced at a rad shop.

The rad shop was nice enough to cut out the rusted pieces on both lines and splice the two ends together with high pressure atx hose and clamps. Its been holding up fine for a few weeks but id like to replace the whole line now since its rusted in other spots as well.

Does anyone know if the dealer carries this piece, or im I SOL and will have to buy a junkyard hose that may or may not have the same issue?

Dunno where you can get the metal lines but you could always use rubber hydraulic hose for the whole thing. The transmission cooler kits come with hydraulic hose and it holds up just fine. Just make sure it doesn't kink or chafe when you install it.

Yeah, when I installed my cooler I cut the old metal lines to about 3" long and used high pressure clamps and rubber hose.

Just cut the line to a spot there is no rust and go from there.
