205s will fit fine.. except for the rear fender lip on 2nd gens. You may need to roll the rear fender lip out of the way. Keep an eye on the rear sidewalls for any indication of scuffing or cutting.
If you are rubbing against the strut, then your 16x7s dont have the correct offset. You can fix that with spacers.
