I have a lot of 6.5"s laying around from my old Prelude. Crutchfield shows 5.25 and 6.5s so I don't know.

Also what do I have to to take the door cards off??

fronts are 6.5". The door cards can be taken off by hand if careful, or else you can buy a removal tool from Harbor Freight

fronts are 5.5" and the rears are 6x9's

I think when I replaced the speakers in my old LX I put 6.5's in the front and they fit no problem. Not saying you'll have the same experience... It was many many years ago so I can't really remember.

Edit: Saw dave's post, the EGT "facts and figures" should be updated as it says the the speakers are 5.5"

The door cards are easy to take off, There are two screws, one holds in the pull handle to open the door, and the other is inside the arm rest, you can see a hole in the side of it. Then you just work your way around the edges, you can feel where the "pop clips" are and just pull on them. Once you have all of them popped out, life up on the door card and you should lift it out of the sill. oh, and if you have manual windows, try not to lose the clip that holds the crank on, those things are quite springy and go flying with ease, I use needle nose pliers and a towel.

For the front door Stock is 5.5 but you can fit up to 6.5 as being stated before. As long as they are shallow. If they are deep you will need to modify the opening to allow clearance.

between the door card and crank. It's a C clip that holds the crank to the post on the door.

all gen2's lx. pony or gt. in sedan wagon or hatch.

6.5's up front
5x7's rear

can other fit yes. btu that doesn't make them right.

teh bext way i have found to remove the window crank C clip is a paperclip. just bend the end it a very tight J shape. then hook the clip and pull out.

I just take off my sock and use that to get the window crank.

Easy...and I usually have one always with me (Don't do socks and sandals...bah)

Shallow 6.5" up front (Alpine R's hit the window. Alpine S's clear)
5x7" in the rear pods.

JUST replaced my front speakers about 2 hours ago. I installed Kenwood 6 1/2" without ANY issues whatsoever.
These are what I installed
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Kenwood+-+6 ... ones+(Pair)/9231832.p?id=1218063830096&skuId=9231832

They are a vast improvement over the 1995 paper cones (the surrounds were completely missing 80% of the way around the speaker!). I still wouldn't recommend them though. The fit was perfect because of the shallow mounting depth of the Kenwood, but the sound is "ehh" at best imo. Not much bass at all, and they sound garbled at higher volume levels, even with the bass adjusted pretty low on the factory radio.
