I have to replace the clutch in my 91 gt. I don't want a high performance clutch or anything, just not a cheap ass one. I want it to last about 30-40 thousand miles. I do drive hard, but I have no performance mods except for and intake. I only did that because I like the sound. Is the $134.88 special from advance auto parts going to be ok?

ebay! I just picked up a complete kit for $ 120. shipped and includes everything (kit: disc, pressure plate, bearing & alignment tool).
It's the OEM part made by Exedy (Japanese), which is what was on these cars and Protege's from the factory. Search Exedy Mazda 1.8L

In one of my LTS's I went Centerforce Dual Friction and that's an awesome clutch. Unfortunately the car developed other problems that I still have to work out, so when I bought the red one I put in a NEW Napa clutch (not reman) and it works great, I made it through a season of AutoX with it. It slips a little when hot, but it's still going strong. Hopefully I'll have the bugs worked out in the silver one so I can use it next season. I'd buy Centerforce again and again. I bought NAPA because I got a hookup and I wasn't planning on AutoXing that LTS.
