I have a 2000 Ford Escort Zx2
So I was driving on the freeway just a few hours ago, then I heard a rattle next thing I know a see something fly from under my car. I pulled over i didn't notice anything at the time. I was stopped at a red light and my car stalled I get to my house popped open my hood and I had my car running and notice smoke/exhaust coming from a melted hose, and I can not idetify what it is and where it goes to can anyone help?

on another forum I read it goes on the rear of the intake. But Im checking on my ford service manuals.

I also have a 2000. There should be an open hose end somewhere that connected to the PCV valve. Mine connects at the top of the intake manifold. The PCV valve is in a rubber grommet. DO NOT go to Ford. They will sell you the complete PCV valve and hose assembly for about $60. All you need is hose and maybe the PCV valve while you're at it.
