What is this part for?

    As Per the rules:
    Please provide questions in the following format:
    1) Y/M/E, (year/model/engine) 1995 LX Sport 1.9L
    2) detailed description of the problem - Just curious as to what this specific part does.
    3) what you have tried so far. - Speculate. I know it's part of the AC manifold hose, I think on the high pressure side.

    muffler. possibly an accumulator depending on how the system is built.

    OK, so because this compressor cycles on and off?

    It's on the high side.

    the gas R124A is compressed with compressor in ordered to cool and take head away it need to expand and this action makes it get cold and able to take the head out of the car.

    it's simple A/C stuff some have a pre expansion tank and some don't this one does.
