ok, does anybody think that it is a bad idea 'or good idea' to completly swap a body part of the escort with a totally different car.

for example... lets say i have a 92gt and i were to swap the front with an integra or a neon, or something like a civic. lights, grill and all.

is that not being faithful or loyal to the escort appearance?

what do you think?

Please don't take this as a criticizm of your taste but since you ask:-

1. Why?
2. Yes!

I say if you have the means, go for it. I'm one for originality, so the more original the car (or whatever), the better, in my opinion at least.

I agree with foxy more and more every day! :)

actually Skuce is swapping a zx2 front clip onto a protege is it? anyway looks like an amazing project. I wouldn't go between different car makers though. Mazda almost = ford so it works.

You can actually use some civic(3nd gen?)/integra (1st gen) bumpers because the width is the same and the top of the bumper has a flat profile (you'll need tracer grill and headlights to make it flush). But please please please.. don't use civic/integra headlights.. there's nothing to gain there except disgust from both hondaphiles and scortaphiles.

Siragan's e36 headlight conversion is a good way to go though. I think I may copy him, down the road, myself.

But if you can pull of an off the wall conversion really well.. well, see for yourself.

to be honest! do as you wish! i think it would be cool to mix parts and be original! if you ran civic fron ends they have some nice headlights if you wanted to go that far! i have seen a civic with a is300 front end on bags!

have fun and be creatiuve! thats what the hobby is all about!
