Thanks guys! I knew someone on here could help...
Perhaps I would have found the number on RA had I looked last night.?!
I swear I checked it before ordering other parts & didn't find it, but I've been wrong before... Been putting in a lot of hours lately & by the time I make it home & get online- my brain is about fried.

Reading your sig I noticed you're still looking for a sound for your ride? To me the best sound comes from Borla. The Borla boomer has a nice throaty sound, especially with the resonator eliminated.

The S/R Borla I have on the wagon really sounds nice. I even got some Mustang guys to compliment me on the sound and I love the sound a 4.6 Mod motor makes with a set of flowmaster 40's so for them to give me the thumbs up is pretty cool!

The TeamZX2 facebook page has a few of the members selling their S/R mufflers but if I had to buy from any of them I would buy from Darrel Tolentino. I've bought a few things from him and he's always been solid. Can't say that about some of the others on the page.

I bought an S/R cluster from someone else on the facebook page to pull the 150mph speedo but when I got it the speedo didn't work. I had to fiddle around with it to get it to work but the Odo is still not working. I'll probably try again and use the semi working one to tear apart and see how it works. I have a feeling the 150 motor that drives the needle has been assigned a certain value to read from the tranny so once I figure that out I can pretty much convert whatever stock 120mph speedo to a 150mph speedo along with a custom vinyl overlay of the S/R speedo gauge face.

Replaced the alternator and belt with ones I pulled from the purple car the other day...
The battery light isn't coming on anymore! :)
Still think the battery is toast though. 3.5 hours on a 2 amp trickle changed neither the voltage (12.3v) or the CCA (468)... Went ahead and hooked it back up to the battery charger when I got home- hoping that I just didn't have the clamps on very well earlier?!

I figured I'd give this thread a bump with a pic of a beautiful sunrise the ol' wagon and I witnessed on the way to work the other day...

If that were on the West coast you'd go 'oh, just another Forest fire'.

Ya know, Smokey The Bear has been strangely absent the last several years.

Just replaced both front wheel bearings. Pothole destroyed the passenger side one and the driver side was probably on it's way out so I replaced them both.

Is that Thermochromic paint or is it just the camera?

Wrapped the entire filter air box with thermal wrapping material, as an experiment...was seeing more than 150 degrees IAT...now, no more than 120 deg at full stop traffic jams....still room for improvement !
Seriously looking at a '98 ZX2 complete car for the DOHC swap...

I'd like to see more data on this. Definitely interesting. What kind of material did you wrap it with?

Just a dummy who likes to get in over his head (never doing things the simple way) and bought several cans of paint to try and achieve an effect he had not yet seen applied to an engine... Below you will see the proof (or at least a picture of all the paint cans used for this project)!

LOL! The method of a genius is always shrouded in ridicule until the outcome proves otherwise.

I like what you did. I think it looks cool and is totally different from what I've seen previous.

Actually, I'm getting to the stage in the Toyota Corolla build I have going where I'm going to try and replicate the white pearl paint scheme from Lexus. From what I've gathered all I need is white base, pearl and clear. The white base and clear is easy enough. I just need to find pearl in a can! LOL!

Pearl Engine paint? Haven't seen that yet. If you were to purchase the higher end engine enamels (that come in a can & need to be sprayed with a paint gun)- I reckon that you could just mix the pearl in with the white (or maybe even some in the clear). I've always liked pearls... I searched high & low to find a pearl white for a model car (actually SUV) that I built 20 some years ago- that was the only color I could envision using for it... I have no other actual experience spraying pearls- though I have read up on it severl times over the years. Hope you find what you are after! :)
