4 new Nankang SP-9's installed at Firestone. They said my rear two rims are bent. Still beaded on tho. Not sure if I should go looking for jy aluminum rims or not. All four are original steelies.

The nice thing is you can be picky and take your time to find a nice set of wheels. Or, just find a pair of nice steel wheels to swap the new tires onto.

You are definitely taking a gamble buying used wheels, but you take the same gamble buying from craigslist or facebook marketplace. Like denisond3 said, I try to pull them from the car myself, that way I can at least somewhat gauge if they were in use and will be usable for me.

I much prefer steel wheels. Not only are they cheaper to get used ones, but the alloy rims for cars as old as my escorts often have some corrosion at the bead; and wont hold air very long. Quite a few times with cars having alloy wheels, I find I have to dismount the tire, and polish the corrosion away from the bead. Then I like to spray the area with gloss black paint, and let it dry for a couple of weeks - before getting a tire remounted.

Passenger headlamp stopped working about a week or two ago; last week started digging into it. Blown fuse. Half-melted headlight socket. Replaced them with JY parts and then found torn-up wiring. Went back to JY for the entire headlamp harness, cut out the old one, replaced, now working great.
