I'm thinking I should replace my switch since I've already got the hose off. Now would be the time...as opposed to charging the system only to have it fail.

They are self adjustable. They have to be properly adjusted manually, like that pdf says. After that pumping the ebrake lever should adjust them. The lever also has an adjustment. If swapping from drum to disc, the lever will need to be adjusted too.

Ditto! I just put new ones on the Focus wagon and did a full facelift on the Suburban. All new lamps, bumper and color matched grill.

Sweet. Headlights for my Nav are $100 each, generic. So I'm like yeah that's gonna wait.

There's a way to adjust the lever? Mine are factory discs. It seems like every 6 months or so, I gotta fiddle with them as they don't feel "right".

Yes, you take the center console out. (Like 2 screws). Then you can see the lever mechanism, it has a small nut on one side (8mm I think). You just tighten it to make the e brake engagement lower.

I swapped disc brakes on for a few months and never had a problem. Even used the drum's prop valves.

I think it is. I have the dual air. Not as easy as the 'scort headliner was.

Always better to go newer if you have the smarts. I was going to replace the tired 4L60E with a 4L80E but I'm hung up on the crossmember. It has to be modified. No one sells conversion for these years

THANKS SHAKE! Today I re-adjusted the rear calipers again, then I popped the armrest & center console off. I took a good inch out of that adjustment screw at the handle. I went from virtually no e-brake to mega-grip lol. The handle only moves up a couple of inches now, where before it would literally hit the armrest. Much appreciated for the heads up!

I also adjusted the air-gap on my A/C compressor. A Thank You to rbailin for that helpful tip! IMG_2051.jpg

Quick question, What's up with my girlfriend's 'scort and keyless entry? The fob says driver door only, and sure enough the fob only unlocks and locks the driver door...would switching to a different fob like mine (unlocks all 4 doors) make all the doors lock and unlock, or is it just a piece of crap factory option to unlock the driver door only? I've never heard of a keyless entry only unlocking 1 door. Usually it unlocks the driver door on 1 click, and all doors on 2 clicks. Or possibly could the other 3 doors have some other problem?
