List of current mods and planned mods. Pics of your ride(s).
My ride is a 1999 Escort Wagon SE. I purchased the car for $200 with a defective SPI engine and auto trans. It runs and drives fantastic. Fun and sporty. Check out that fabulous dent in the rear. Looks like they attempted to break in with an axe. Body is solid. Salvaged Title from what looks like hail damage.
My current list is
1) Zetec swap and manual swap
2) 13/16 or 7/8 rear sway bar upgrade. It’s from a GT. I don’t remember the size.
3) B&M shifter
4)Full Energy Suspension bushing kit.
5)S/R PCM CWQ3.
6)MX-3 seats that I had covered in leather or pleather to match when in my ZX2.
7) 2003 ZX2 wheels.
8)2003 ZX2 heater control panel modified to fit Pioneer head unit.
9) Blue valve cover. S/R replica.
10) S/R shift boot and knob.
11) Charcoal black interior upgrade. Mine had tan. Not 100% finished. I removed the seats, carpet, and console from the ZX2. The rest of it, I have to dye.
12) center armrest upgrade.
13) Lowered approx 1.5in.
Future mods include
1) Finish the interior dye.
2) Tracer bumper.
3)Borla muffler.
4) S/R cold air. I already have the K&N. Installed.
5) EGT side skirts. Already have. Just not installed.
6) S/R cluster to fit 3rd gen wagon.
7)Mini Cooper wheel upgrade.
8) Fix the dings and dents and repaint.
9) Refinish or replace headlamps.
10) Body color breakaway mirrors. Not having any luck finding these. If anyone knows of a direct replacement, let me know. I don’t mind some fab work, but I don’t wanna spend hours or days to have crappy looking mirrors.
11) 2 1/4 exhaust upgrade.

My wagons are a 92LX, and two 94LXs. All are stock, except I added two extra 12 volt accessory sockets in the console to each one; which stay on when the ignition is off to power gps and smartphones on cross-country trips.

What is mini cooper wheel upgrade?
They use the same lug pattern, and hundreds of wheel style and sizes available. I found some new wheels, but I can't find the wheels I like in used.

What's in my wagon? Every kind of fluid this car drinks. The only one I don't use a lot of, if any is oil, which I guess is good. I'd like it better if it wasn't guzzling green kool-aid like a kid on a summer day. :hungry::(

98 Escort SE wagon in Cayman Green (or whatever the hell Ford called it ;)) with 114k miles, auto trans. Great grandma was the previous owner and parked it for 4.5 years after it had been driven for maybe 30k without ANY form of an oil change, I'm surprised it even survived that 30k stretch before it sat. Went out in my Volvo 245, slapped a battery in it, changed oil & flushed cooling system, and off it went. Been driving it ever since, and I've autocrossed the sucker TWICE!

At first I wanted to keep it stock, and at stock height, so it'd be easier to get up and down the small trails around here that me and my buds hike on all the time. However, my fleet of Volvo wagons do the job way better, so I have moved on to ' this thing.

My plans for the future include a 2.0L Zetec & manual swap. Just picked up a nice set of NB Miata "daisy" wheels for the thing and some Megan coilovers. Super excited to get to work and get this fella lowered. Since I'm full of plans for my other projects, especially the Volvos, the 'Scort has been the monstrous daily driver, so until I can get a proper ZX2 parts car, I might slap a rebuilt head with hardened seats on the SPI.

heres some pics of this bad boy

I think the '97's have a hard time selling to people like us because of the return style fuel system that doesn't lend well to swapping a zetec into it.

Since the 2nd gens had that type of fuel system you could swap a 1.8 into it but then it would be older than the car and would not pass here in Cali.
