anyone here from washington? maybe tacoma/seattle area?
hell thats aint far at all....anyone else on here from washington? im trying to get some more scort action in the tacoma scene
LAKEWOOD (pierce county, not snohomish county)
Burien, just a few miles south of Seattle. I'm in tacoma frequently though.
tacoma here! basically 56th and I-5 is where I'm at. I've prolly seen some of you washington escort guys around in the tacoma area, yeah silverton you're at PAP what every few weeks? that's funny, I went yesterday and got those plug wires ha ha, they were 50 cents a wire!
keep the escorts rollin guys! remember, a wreck is an opprotunity to modify ha ha!
i'm bout to roll out to PAP to get a PCM for the upgraded intake and roll to midland and grab me a 2.0 TB. WOO!
oh yeah very nice! I'd roll out to PAP right now but nothing I NEED right now, and with less than 300 left in my bank and no job, the scort's gonna have to wait for any other good mods ha ha.
I did the 3.8 TB on my mostly stock 92 LX 1.9 with heavily ported head, noticed no difference in power, what intake you running a 2.0 SPI?
yeah midland auto wrecking is good but a lot more expensive than PAP cuz they pull the parts.
i'm still runnin a 1.9 motor. my intake is a specter air filter and tubbing (my display pic) with a 94 MAF sensor housing. only reason y i'm gettin the 2.0 TB is cuz it's the only one that i know of with the hookup for the kickdown cable.
I'm hittin the lakewood PAP tomorrow, need to pick up a tail light for a buddy. Good deal on those plug wires dude! They looked pretty damn new too! I'm glad a set of NGK's came on my car
ah ok juggalo I got ya, running an auto in that car then I take it? your 1.9 is more of a beast than mine then, I have a lightly ported head with bad piston rings in my 92 LX ha ha, the 92 GT just has a slightly bent rod I mean that's no big deal at all *sarcasm* but the GT runs better than the LX ha ha, I drive GT!! I love my GT.
silverton SHUSH! lol yea you got one sweet deal with that GT of yours! yes those wires are a lot more like new than my old ones! they're good and solid feeling don't feel like a wet noodle, that's when you know they're getting to the end! too much heat and electrical passing break down!
keep em rollin guys! oh and it's fun to race a taxi ex police interceptor, they totally don't expect it and then they all try to catch up, you back off and they fly by and the cop pulls them over instead of you ha ha! too bad that didn't happen it woulda been funny as heck! GT FTW! I smoked that taxi in 1st at 1/2 throttle to 4 grand, slammed 2nd and backed out ha ha.
oh yeah, my motor is a monter. people look at me thinkin "he's in a wagon. i can smoke him." but when that light hits green, they won't even know what just happend. lol. my next upgrade is gonna be the ignition system. high output coil pack, spark plugs and wires from escortfocus.com. but that won't happen till i get a job and do a mini me set up in my honda.
Hate to burst your bubble but there is no way your 1.9 with a spectre intake is a monster. Might be a monster compared to stock d16's... but that's about it. Actually, wanna race? haha
very very nice!
you ever driven on wa 167? heading to 405? I saw a lowered green wagon and tried to race the guy but he didn't look over, it bouncing because it was lowered and had STIFF suspension, was that you man?! that would be funny if it was you, it was a few months ago on a sunday night I was headed to church.
yeah that's when the GT was having issues, I went into 3rd gear going 60 and slammed the throttle and it CELed on me :\ so I went from 60 to 62 floored in 3rd in like 2 seconds ha ha.
anyway yeah I need a job before I make my EGT what I want it to be, some more power mods I'd like to do and appearance things.
A properly lowered car will not bounce. Those would be cut springs.
coil over springs will make it bounce. i know because i have them on my crx. my wagon aint green, it's blue. i have pics of both of my cars on my myspace. go check em out.
