Damnit....none of the wreckers near my area have exhaust manifolds from 88-90 Escort GT´s.

The guy from the junk yard quoted me a price of $75 (Canadian) though.
So I guess that isn´t too bad.
Just have to wait until someone decides to junk an EGT from those years.
lol

I don´t suppose there´s anyone out there from around Ontario who might like to sell me an Exhaust Manifold from an 88-90 EGT.

I would hold up on getting that header right now. I got one for my LX and I´m having problems getting the EGR from the CFI to fit the EGR on the EFI header. The header fittings are underneath the car and our LX has the fittings on the manifold. I´m trying to see if there is way a to keep the EGR working w/o having to weld on to the header. From the looks of the GT´s EGR valve, its nearly in the same place as our LX EGR valve. The only difference is the diameter of the fitting on each of them. From what I can tell, the GT has a larger fitting diameter compared to ours. I´m still doing my homework on it to see it will go. The header will fit the block with no problem, the bolt holes and everything match, extcept the EGR. I´ll keep ya posted.

Hey Rascal, I check out my EGR set up an noticed that the pipe from the header goes into the bottom of the intake right below the EGR valave, and the EGR valve it right between the Trottle Body and the first intake runner. You mentioned there might be some differences in sizes of the connection in the intake. Well you might be able to go to Home Depot and get some pipe fitting to ruduce the size of the EGR pipe fitting, OR maybe you could try some steel braided hose and buy fitting for it that will fit. You would probably want to go with -8 or -10 hose. I´m pretty sure the can take the heat from the exhaust. I have steelt braided hose for the tranny cooler on my Mustang, and I´m sure it gets pretty hot. Just a though. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
