ok, so here it is. if you want to be a moderator post which forum(s) you would like to moderate and why. with the amount of traffic that the site gets i think it would be a good idea to have a couple moderators that would be able to help out. here is what we are looking for in a moderator:

- someone that visits the board often
- someone that will listen to the rules set down
- someone that won't abuse the moderator position
- someone willing to put in time for this position, not like an all day job
- someone that will take it seriously

duties of moderator include the following, but are not limited to:

- locking improper threads
- moving threads to proper forums
- possibly deleting posts in extreme circumstances
- making sure no stupid bickering is happening
- make sure posts follow forum rules

here are the rules for this thread:

- only post 1 time, i don't want replies of other people's posts, just your request.
- why do you want to be a mod, and which forums
- anything else you think is important

# of posts means nothing, so don't think if you have a low post count that you will not be considered. nor do you have to sit on the board all day long. thanks!

edit: if you want to send me a PM instead of posting here, that's fine too.

I would like to apply for the Engine/tuning forum.

I think i know a quite a decent amount about the engine and its components. I visit the site atleats a good 3-4 times a day and generally spend 1-2 hours browsing it as well. Time is not a problem, i have a 5 hour block where i have nothing else better to do than post and chat.
thank you,
marshall

I have taken a webpage design class as well and amy currently a CIS student at devry unversity if that helps.

I'll apply...

I am the moderator of the PGI forum at pbnation.com, so there's my work experience.

I want to moderate because I'm too poor to donate to FEOA.net and I feel I should help out in some way.

I'll moderate any forum, but I can't say I'm experienced with engines or anything, but I generally know what's going on. I also know html and a BBCode and I'm okay with computers so you wouldn't need to teach me stuff.

Anyway, if you want me to mod, hit me up on IM: SN = BadColumn

Hey, sent you a PM Donnie, forgot to mention that I have extensive knowledge in HTML, XML, and most every web programming language. That and quite literally my life is web programming (that's what I do for the AF).

What the hizeck. I'll apply for a moderator position. I am sorta young, but not quite as young as nuke is.

I've learned so much from this forum and I like to give back my experiences. In the past I've been rather childish but I feel it's only when I've been provoked. I know not to argue but sometimes it's just fun. If I get to be a moderator that won't happen. Anyway, I plan on having my engine completely rebuilt so I'd love to be able to be a moderator for the engine tuning threads. I'm planning on trying to find a Escort LX wagon 1.9 and mod the engine a little bit to familiarize myself with it like I am the 1.8.

I have pretty much no experience with any sort of computer stuff like siragan does but I'm willing to learn it.

As you can tell I'm on here quite a bit and I don't think I've missed at least looking through a single thread since I signed up.

Wow, this is the moment I've been waiting for. I have sat here and wished I could become a moderator of this site for quite some time. I think I mentioned it to EGTDude once in the past. Personally I thought there was too much stuff for just two people to tackle on their own. I feel I would be able to contribute the most in the Engine Tuning Forum and the Drag Racing Forum, and I have quite an extinsive real world knowledge of NOS and Forced Induction. I feel my post on engine related topics speak for themselves, and I have Extensive experience on the dragstrip. I am on here usually atleast once a day, but more often than not it's for a few hours. I'm on vacation right now, and I still find ways to check up on you guys. ;-) I may not have the most posts on the board, but if you compare the content of the posts I do have as related to the post of other people I feel that the quality of my post far surpass those of most people with a greater number. Not to mention my proximity to EGTDude will allow us to colaberate a lot easier on issues concerning the site.

*just realized that he's breaking the rule himself* :x :x

Oh, and no thanks, Slappy. I just got out of a site admin position with another board.. I was addicted. I'm going to enjoy being a 'simple user' for a while :D
