I just got a new voltage regulator and want to know if replacing it is as simple as it looks; remove four screws, remove old, and install new.

YUP, it's pretty simple stuff.

Get you a paper clip and straighten one end of it out so you can use it to cage the brushes. You'll need to hold them in place while you put the new regulator back in.

tighten the screws and pull the paper clip out.

You'll see what I mean when you buy your new regulator.
