I just noticed that Venom Perfomace lists an Electronic shift kit for 1990-93 1.8L Protege but not for the EGT. Does anybody know what this kit is and/or what it does?
normally just ups the shift points for an auto. Send an email to Denis Gagnon....being in the world of an auto he might have experience with it or something simular.
All the shift kit will do is make the transmission shift up at a bit higher rpms, there is really no practical application for one on a four cylinder car.

I wouldn´t know why you would want your engine to rev higher if you have an OHV engine. Just end up floating the valves with it. I would think that kit would be perfect for a 4 cylinder car, especially an automatic EGT, with it´s 7000 rpm redline and all. :-?
