This is the 3rd day using my car with port head, I hear a sound like the valves or lifters, I change the oil (Lucas oil stabilizer and 10w 40), and the sound still there, before I work the head, I replace the timing belt and when finish the timing belt was very tight, and made the same sound, so i freed a little bit the timing belt and never made the sound again... I try to do the same yesterday and doesn't work...

Please did somebody knowwhat I have to do? 8)

Thanx

does it sound more like a valve tap or lifter click? if you can tell.

try putting your ear to the valve cover while it makes the sound, moving over each cylinder, listening for it to get louder. Which cyl(s) was it loudest?

This will tell you what to do next.

Also, 20w50 if conditions will allow would be best for the noise, if you plan to just leave it as it is. Otherwise, I would put 5 or 10w30 in it to diagnose it easier.
