Upgrading my Escort Mk II

I own a 1980 Ford Escort Mk II 1600 Sport

Can ANYONE, give me ANY info, on upgrading my little Ferrari. I heard of people successfully putting in a 2.8 liter V6, but would it be possible to put in a 257 V8. I know absolutely zero on this, so what about reinforcement of the chassis, suspension, etc.? I dunno. What do I need to do when I put in a bigger motor?

I´m not sure what the answer is to your question, but where the ^#$% did you pick up a mark 2?! where do you live?
