One of my lights is bad and I would like to upgrade to a different set of lights and have a couple questions:
1. will the stock wire harness handle a piaa or hella fog light?
2. what has anyone done?

I ran 55W H3 bulbs on the stock wiring for a while. I wanted the fogs to be able to be on with my marker lights, so I wired them to an independent switch and no relay. I plan to re-wire them through a relay when I change my switches out. I rec. a relay, it is a lot of load through most switches, esp. those higher than 55W.

If you use the stock wiring, be prepared to replace the headlight relay. I put aftermarket 55w driving lights on both of my GT's, and within one month the original relay died on both cars. It also melted the plug for the relay.
The best thing to do is use the factory wiring to activate a separate relay for the driving lights.

Definitely wire in a better relay and heavier wiring. You should be switching power directly from the battery source for max power.
My problem is the opposite. I wired up power for new driving lights but the EBay lights suck. They light up but they don't project light worth a crap. I need to invest in better lights.

Maybe thats why my brothers relay keeps dying and burning. Good stuff.
