Update on hood latch problem, wire to turn on ac compressor

I took a look at the the latch, it looks like a piece is bent and will not engage.

Also, there is a wire that goes from the AC fuse to the compressor wiring below. I took the wire out of the fuse, it did not engage the compressor and didn't blow cold air. I tested the wire from the fuse relay, and it was not hot, but the fuse without the relay is hot.

Would this be a wiring issue from the relay?

I did replace the hood latch, that's why the hood is permanently shut for the moment. The hood release cable was broken before i got the car, and i cannot pull out the one from my parts car.
lets see a picture of what you say was broken.

Broken hood latch pictures. Small circular piece at top left is where the cable went. Cannot get picture of the broken cable cause again hood is shut permanently until i can get a new hood release cable. The previous owner broke the release cable and it will not go back in the in position.

wanted to see the cable as i stated the problem is not your cable.

since I've already told you the info you need to fix your car you can figure it out from here

looking at the previous pics the cable end was fixed and it was the latch which only needed proper adjustment. It looks more like you broke it working on it :( so resorting to calling me names is on you

now you are just changing parts not knowing compatibility and wont listen when i tell you the differences

I will be replacing the CCRM on Tuesday from my old car.
update: got the ccrm replaced
proof of not being the same pictured here:

so the real jerk here is you. I have let you know what the issues are and you cant provide honest information on your end and you are not willing to listen. So good luck maybe this 3rd car will finally get fixed and work as it should

You are the one not reading my posts so that's on you. I am providing what information I can provide at the moment, and you have been nothing but condescending to me. I don't know everything about compatibility with the different years, and yet you expect me to know compatibility with the different years. How would you know the latch wasn't broken?! I am the one who was asking for help, and you are assuming what is wrong and giving bad info!! I am not a know it all like you, so how about treating me with some respect and actually helping me! You assumed the year of the compressor without telling me what to look for that makes the change between 2002 and 2003! You are not being very helpful!

haha. I asked for follow up about the ccrm pic you claimed you would post then never did. I can tell by the pics which parts are which. Unlike you thinking you know it all after destroying two cars, i do know the difference and dont continue to have ac issues year after year. Plus you are the one with the condescending attitude as you wont answer and instead reply with more questions suggesting that you are the only one smart enough to skip steps. It is not my job to spoon feed you everything but I do know the difference, told you then ,instead of listening and learning you decide to continue with more questioning. So you can start by using your own advice and showing some respect to someone who actually does know something about this who took the time out to give you the information you need to fix this car.

so good luck with the car it should make good parts for the next one

ps. i did not assume the identification of the compressor, you actually provided a pic of that. You've been not understanding how the ac in these cars works for over a year now. It may be time to either listen and learn or just take to the walmart tech who does the ac

Have to agree with that. I was reading through it last night thinking that I needed to get the popcorn out. Very justified warning. Arguing like that accomplishes nothing.

update on the hood latch. replaced with donor hood latch from junkyard, works now. having issue with the ac. It will blow cold air, but only for a bit. It goes back to lukewarm air, and stops blowing cold air. Already replaced the CCRM, and cut the wire that the previous owner used to hotwire the ac compressor. The heater smells like something is burning. Will be replacing the blower motor on Tuesday. Any ideas on the ac not working and the heater smelling like rubbish?
