ok , ive done a fair bit of searching for info on the VJ11 here on feoa an so far it seems to be a choice of preference .

I recently acquired a VJ11 with the MX6 inj , FMIC from a Mercedes SLK
i have the BP26 GTX mani ( from yoda ) ,RX7 Vaf , ill be running stock EGT ecu ( w/FMU for now )

Some have said the VJ 11 is a waste of time for a BP is this fact or myth?

i am able to acquire a Vj 16 for a hybrid upgrade later on.

tips tricks an idea's , opinions would be awesome .

i cant wait to join the dark side :twisted:

so a VJ 11/vj16 hybrid would be a good idea i suppose to make up for where it drops off?

i figured a stock VJ11 would be a good choice to learn to crawl with since the vj20 is hard to get up here.

this is good anyone else ?

ok if its nearly identical then i should be fine.

i have the BP26 GTX manifold and an the down pipe is intact on the turbo. im so friken close to being boosted i can taste it 8O , i could have this pig done by monday night but i gotta do a timing belt on gadget first or ill just use my spare motor ( 150k kms instaead of gadgets current 400K+ km )

doest anyone have pics they could send me of where i can tap into for oil feed an water feed,drain? would be greatly appreciated 8)

hmm nice discovery :(


elongate the turbo side holes? shouldn't hurt it any . continue the holes to the ends so its more like a slot instaed of a hole ( maybe make/use some triangle corers )

or
make a adapter plate

lol you confused your self vtec-this lol the vj-11 an vj-20 are simalar with the excpetion of the vj-11 having a slightly bigger hot side but hte flanges are different but locations of everything else is identical the vj-16 is a compressor upgrade option for the vj-11 an for the vj-20 if im not mistaken.

not from a miata at all its from a Escort GT this motor was set up as an auto but works great as a bench test for pumbing stuff ect. that one has 145k kms or 90k mi on it 8)

gadgets current drive train has 460k km or 285k mi 8O
