ok, so im new, and ive seen people use the dsm turbo setup, and also someone use an eaton m62 supercharger. my question is how difficult would it be to run both? i have a pretty good understanding of how to make the dsm turbo setup work, but i havent really looked into the supercharger, and what kind of internals would stand up to, lets say... 15-20psi?
twincharged 94 1.9 egt?

there is also a guy that took a gm m62 blower and adapted it to the lower half of the egt intake manifold. would work fine with a gtx setup and be twin or "compund" charged. but why bother when you are just runny wimpy boost pressure. running high boost on a laggy turbo would be the only real reason to do this. the more common solution is to use a BB turbo are they are very fast spooling and have better efficiency than a blower.
a reworked 14b turbo could flow more than your engine can take. why not start there and worry about compound charging when you have a built motor handy.

i havent picked the car up yet, but the guy says its a 1.9, it has all the gt body parts, but i havent looked under the hood yet. if its thre 1.8 would the dsm manifold still fit? im picking the thing up for 400 dollars from a buddy and am just excited to have an escort again lol

any turbo with a standard t25 footprint works. so t28 etc as well as t25s from saab and other car makers.

How about you see what kind of motor is in the car before you get ideas? If its a 1.9L ford motor then you have the possiblility of running a dsm manifold. If its the 1.8L mazda engine then you have the possiblility of running the miata stuff.

as long as it is in good shape for the price and there isnt alot of rust it sounds like a keeper. i just threw one out last week lol
providing its a good deal buy it and then save for a turbo setup once you are sure everything else is in good working order.

And don't bother putting a supercharger on it. Just concentrate on putting together a good turbo system.
