For fuel, mechanical is cheaper to do then electronic.

Pump, regulator, and boost sensative fuel pressure riser....some new lines and fittings and injectors.


Yes the GTX intake manifold will work (I think the GT flows better though)


IHI RHB5 VJ20 will bolt up to the manifold. Found on 323GTX (nearly impossible to find in junkyars)...the closest relation to the VJ20 is the VJ11 on the old turbo Probes and MX6's.

???? About the turbo...honstly you might be better off just getting a killer GT25 and having a custom manifold made.

As for the fuel system, there is no "cheap" way to do it, just less expensive. You cant buy the fuel system all at once, so you're going to have to custom build most of it.

I'm building my own custom high flow fuel rail...Its going to cost me quite a bit and I wont have the use of my car for a few days....

Holy-Crapoly....they have come down in price over the past 2 years. I asked Adam Christopher what it was...when he went turbo a little over 2 years ago. Same with Denis Gagnon, I believe. I remember him saying it was like 1200 bucks.

Anyhow, my friend is working on building one. I'm using an Aeromotive Fuel Pressure regulator now..all the ports are 3/8" So I'm wanting to make a rail that has an inlet 3/8". Under the flow rates I tried working out, a rail that large would allow enough flow to power ANY Escort set up.

Same with my intercooler piping. As soon as it gets finished, I can have it duplicated alot cheaper then it costed to have it built on my car. That is if you're planning on running a Starion/Conquest intercooler or something around 25" long + tanks. But it would be able to bolt up to the VJ20 directly and tuck around the subframe with the stock bumper on (like I have it )

Hey if all your going to do is run under 10psi on the turbo set up, buy a GTX ECU and I'll sell you the 330cc injectors you need from a GTX. I bought them, but then decided to run way more boost.

The stock computer wont like the turbo to answer your question. If you use a Fuel pressure regulator and lower your initial pressure and then use a fuel pressure riser and the 330cc injectors I have you can run mid-range boost levels pretty easily. That's your cheapest way to go right now. You'll need a better pump too, but let me look up the company I got my pump from...it was an AWESOME deal. it was like 97 bucks for a walboro 255L/H pump.

But your stock set up will choke around 4-5psi. just putting in the 330 injectors I have will help a bunch, from there the pump, then the regulator to get rid of overfueling at low idles and cold starts. then the fuel pressure riser.

Yes an RX7 pump will work out of a 91..but you may have to finess the wiring a little for the pump. No biggie...still there's a guy that sells pumps for Syclones and Typhoons in Tx he's the guy to get a pump from, since the pump will be brand new for 97 bucks.


like I said, I can sell you some 330cc injectors 150 and their yours...give me a day to get some pictures up. running into problems getting power to the camera.
