Wil the maifold from corksport.com for the 1990-94 GTX escort fit on my 1997 escort lx? I know the HO headers are from a second gen escort so is this i think so i should bolt up right? Also does anyone know where i can find a how to to turbo a 2.0? I have the money and a turbo (TD04) from a first gen DSM (eclipse, talon, laser) along with an intercooler from a friend.

That manifold wont fit either your motor or your turbo.
And the HO header comes from a 1st gen, not a second gen.

Escort EXP, Escort RS Turbo, and other custom manifolds will fit. Look around junk yards for the EXP mani and e-bay for the RS mani. If you want an aftermarket one there is at least one that I know of. I also know where to get a NEW EXP MANI! 8)

Yeah, good luck finding an EXP mani... I couldn't find one for crap around here.

Just make sure to chose the manifold for the motor WITH turbo. There are three without.

Ok, it sounds like the popular manifolds are the exp and the r/s or custom. I think I am right when I say, if your using the exp mani, you need to move the clutch slave. I dont really understand how to do that so I am searching for a R/S mani because I think I remember a while ago reading that the clutch slave didn't need to be moved with this mani. I just want to make sure I am right because I'm having a really hard time finding a R/S mani and have seen many exp mani's.

Also, I have been on the jgs site and would like to have a custom manifold, but at first I guess I didn't think that they had my "application" I have a 99 escort spi. I went back the other day and was filling everything out as if I was going to buy it and i understood everything except the "Choice of 1.375" ID or 1.610" ID pipes" I am not sure what ID means and which one I should choose.

Alright, first off it sounds like you finally found the correct manifold flange but if I miss read it, it's the one for the SOHC 1.9/SPI. This can only be had in one of their header kits, you can't just get the flange anymore. Oh well.

Next, the 1.375" ID and 1.610" ID is the inner diameter of the piping. If you want high boost, good flow, and the ability to make more power get the larger piping. If you want low boost and quick spool get the smaller piping.

Yes it will fit your SPI. No problems whatsoever.

if i remember correctly the exp manifold has been discontinued since 95, and if im right about it, there prolly isnt any in stock anymore, cause ford prolly melted them down. but if i am wrong, please correct me!

the rs manifold looks like it may interfere with the 2g pcv system.....

look into that b4 you decide...
