Okay, since the tracer is somewhat almost related to the escort, maybe someone here will have some ideas.

I just got an ´87 tracer on sunday.

questions:

#1 - Is there a forum for tracers?

#2 - Where would be a good place to get body kits/performance parts for one?

#3 - Did the escort have the same engine at any point in time? (1.6 carb)

#4 - do ´87 escorts have the same bumper?

Thank you for reading! I´m only really concerned about the first 2 q´s, but any input at all is appreciated. I want to have my car look un-ricey, somewhat european-ish, and not stand out like a sore thumb.

dude stick here the cars are almost identical.And from what I have witnessed the mercs traded some quality aspects as they were aimed towards the lower end market, at least they have a rep for being lesser quality.I´m looking at one now but i look at it as a base model ford with lots of potential.And unless I´m wrong we welcome all escort bodied cars and I´ve even seen some protege´s and 323´s dig into our bag of tricks so keep it here cause deep down we all know "It´s an scort".

Just one Question Ryo....where the heck are you storing these???

It´s carbed eh? hmmm ...it sounds more like a branch off of the UK scorts rather than the US scorts.

BTW...you haven´t picked up the GT bumper yet have you?
