I am looking for a Mercury Tracer or Tracer LTS bumper.
I live in Ottawa and am willing to drive up to 3 hour round trip to pick one up(so there won't be any shipping charges!!)
Color does not matter as I already have 4 different colors on the car now(this will be changing soon!)
Willing to spend up to $100-150
Bumper must be in good shape

Just the bumper cover meaning the plastic part you can see or the entire underneath part?

Well the whole thing would be preferred. I have a Gt bumper on right now so I guess i could use the brace from it. I just don't know how to do the swap. If I had the complete bumper, it would swap no problem.... I'v done that before!

If I could get the bumper it would be just the bumper cover for your car but the regular stock version, not GT.

I do need one for a Tracer. And don't forget it would have to be shipped to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada..... I think shipping is quite expensive for bumpers but if you have one and are willing to take $100-150 shipped for it then let me know!!!!

oh... duno what drugs I was on yesterday... I had a feeling this was an old post for some reason... what I was gonna say yesterday and edited out is that:

something's fishy... Tomcat asks for a tracer bumper. he has a GT bumper on right now... with this, I figure he has a 2nd gen.

mannydingo is offering a bumper COVER.

the 2nd gen has a one piece bumper assembly. there is no cover and brace...

my hypothesis: mannydingo is trying to sell a 3rd gen LX/SE bumper to a 2nd gen owner...

to further confirm this, Tomcat is from Canada, there were no 3rd gen tracers in Canada.. only escorts...

TOMCAT, DON'T BUY... IT'S NOT THE RIGHT BUMPER FOR YOUR CAR!!!!!

Sorry Mannydingo.. I'm sure you had no malicious intentions... just that nobody mentionned any years anywhere.. but it musn't be overlooked...

What wreckers have you checked with in the area, Tomcat?

Did you try Union? What about Arnprior Auto part? Also try Dave's Part Mart on Merivale. They won't have it in stock, but they can get it from anywhere in Ontario.

Although I'm pretty far, there are a few scrap yars in St-Eustache, north of Montreal that have a couple tracers... you could find a bumper from them... I can give you contact info if you're interested... got their business card at home...

I'm familiar with St-Eustache, my dad lives in Rawdon and I always see signs for that place. Give me the # and I'll get my dad to call them.... He also knows of a little yard Near his place. Its actually the place I got a replacement door from!! I'll ask him to check that place out too!!

they have tons of escorts, had one GT that I gutted out last summer and they cubed it after I was done... have a few 2nd gen tracers on the lot.

It's north of Montreal... yu can take what ever country road brings you to Lachute and then highway 50... but because it's not all high speed highway, I don't suggest it... you can take highway 417 to the Transcan (40 in quebec) and the 13 north once you're in Mtl... then it's a quick two exits to the west on the 640...

might take about 2 hours from Ottawa...
