a couple of days ago i posted a message concerning a too cold engine of an 95 Escort LX (1.9l) - meanwhile i change the thermostat and found in the thermostat housing a bypass of the thermostat. It seems like there is some kind of valve or whatever in this bypass but you can't get it out (not sure about that). Has anyone an idea how this works, would i have to get a new thermostat housing. It seems to me that there passes too much coolant through.
