    i run a 93 escort lx on a 1/4 asphalt track i need more low end power so i can come off the corner quick i,m runing a 185/60/14 we can only go low as 60/ seris no taller then a 205 i have a 5spd tranny in it what can i do to get off the cornor faster

    Not clear if you mean you don't have the grip to come out of the corner, or you don't have enough low end torque from the motor.

    I'd play with alignment before anything else.

    i was runing a 205/60/13 legend tire on it and it gave me speed off the cornor but they where illegal so i went to a 185/60/14 gave me more top end but killed me off the cornor has anybody had this problem gotta find a size that will be in the middle of this i got a good set up i can drive farther in then the rest just have no take off speed

    Well left foot brake it in, so you keep the revs up with the right foot, turn in tight and come out wide.

    We run a .397 mile track. Switched up to ZX2 wheels, 195/60/16. Works great. Also a ZX2 5 speed. 98/99 models have the better gear ratios.
