My most memorble and scaries moment is when I slashes the front right tire at 80 with 4 people in the car on i-465 and doing 3 full donuts and then flying off an enbankment and landing with out actually touching the grass embankment. Talk about fun, but we had the winders down and got all of the dust from the pit I landed in into the car. took aaa 3hrs to get to us and get us out.

hmm where to begin many more than just 3 but i guess ill have to choose... well first off i have a tracer but it still counts

    1. driving through some random middle schools soccer fields on wet grass at like 1230 am and sliding all over the place which was loads of fun by the way lol but then the fun ended when i slid right into a tree and scratched the side of my car but wasnt too bad i didnt see the tree cause i had my lights off cause i didnt want to draw attn to myslef but i did score a goal before that lol i slid right into the soccer net without going throught it haha and then a car pulls into the school so i jetted.
    2. going down my high schools driveway which is rather long at about 60mph in the dead of winter then all of a sudden i realize the road is no longer road but infact every inch of it is ice literallly. i pull the ebrake and get sideways still going about 60mph and heading off to right missing a sign by inches and my front wheels grab dirt stopping me less than a foot from smashing into a light pole. that was rather fan and scary at the same time lol
    3. learning how to drive stick in it. o man was that ever fun lol stalling in the middle of intersections people flippin me off ahh good times lol
    4. the day it arrived at my house when i was about 16 and a half im now 19
    5. all the times gettin pulled over for stupid sh!t having too many people in my car (cinderella licsense), speeding, drunk driving (thats another story in itself) after all that i still have my license and no points lol i must be a god..

o well thats more than 3 lol

    3. To many random fun things in the escort. The saying around my friends is that car can drive through a brick wall and not even get a scratch

    1. 12 hours straight road trip to Gaspesie. Some very nice place almost completely surronded by the Atlantic ocean....I had a blast over there rallying at 140 km/h up and down in twisties, fully loaded with camping stuff for a week + my best friend, his gf and some girl for me :p It was so dangerous, but i had to otherwise the car would not go uphill! Oh yeah, the roads were wet too :p

    2. All the joints I've smoked with all of my buddies for the past 4 years :p

    3. All the time i've spent frankeinsteining this car....i did a lot of bodywork experiences on this car...and man does it looks beat right now :p

    4. Beating the f*** out of it for more then 60 000 km (and still going!) without having to put a single penny on any parts! I guess i should be doing the brakes now...they're pretty much done right now :p

First was getting the car running when it burnt oil, and idling it over 2 parking blocks without realizing it.

2nd was rebuilding the engine, listening to it first start, and pump the lifters up.

3rd was a couple weeks ago, when I had a very nice slide off the freeway...doing 75, slowed it to 55 into a 25 mph left curve, did a brake jab, and drifted right up to the stop sign line as an 18 wheeler was going by...my mom was behind me in her honda and nearly lost her cabbage.

    1. PDX at Road Atlanta (get to drive as fast as you can on RA w/o massive safety prep):

    http://www.roadatlanta.com/trackmap.lasso

So, you can only pass on the front straight & back straight - straight line cars are supposed to point you past if you're driving faster on the rest of the track.

After a lap tail-grabbing a BMW, they blue-flagged him ("ATTN: BMW, YOU MUST LET THE ESCORT PASS, HE IS FASTER THAN YOU.") coming out of turn 10-B. :)

    2. PDX in Nov., after 2 laps(!) of REALLY being slowed down in the turns by a Mustang, him baby-braking all over & then walking away on the straights where he was supposed to point me past, I set him up coming down the hill into turn 12 to the passing zone & was past him before he could get on the throttle! :D

    3. First time on R-compound tires at autocross!

    my 97-
1- the day i boosted it and finally got it all done after a few days work, drove it down the street and imediatlly ran into my house and kissed my gf who was very supportive of it all.

2-my first and only crash....at age 17 spun it on a wet twisty road. I learned and never did it again

3-when i stopped driving it and realized i didnt like the car, I loved the car and could never part with it.

    my 95-
1-my first midnight trip to the ocean on a whim. By far the most memerable moment

2-moving all my $hit in it... hoods, bikes, dressers, everything that i had.

3-driving thru the state of oregon to pick up a turbo and drove straight back. 16+ hours of driving all by me with a 45 min break to pick up the turbo from tokstad. This was in the winter all thru snow. This is also how I met my current gf.

    91lx -

    1) punching it for the first time after installing a turbo (thought it wouldn't work) and catching air through an intersection

    2) forgetting to turn on my fan in the staging lane and pissing coolant all over the track on my first run infront of everyone who already thought my car was a pos :p

    89GT -

    3) getting the thumbs up from guys who beat me at the track

Maybe I made his "memorable experiences in my BMW" list? :D

& say, Chubyboy - The way it works is, I'm in the SCCA:

    http://www.scca.com/

Mostly I do autocross b/c it's cheap, but they started doing PDX in the Atlanta region this year - it's really killer. Why not see if your local region does something like it?

yea, i like the idea of a road course, because it'll keep me out of cop trouble doing my speed runs at like 90+MPH in a 55MPH zone

autocross sounds so fun.. im worried about someone smacking into my car though.. or even me smacking my fine escort into a much more expensive vehicle.. like a BWM for example

    1. LOL Same as below, with one friend though, and it was sunny. Buddy discovered I have a 2nd, musical horn with the button in the middle of the console, so he was blasting it pretty much non stop. Sigh....

    2. Going off-road in a lost forest, getting stuck in mud as it started to rain, took an hour to get ourselves out, lost 2 mudflaps, reversing track, realizing the rain transformed road into river bed, kicked friend out who threw rocks around so that we have enough clearance, got stuck on some boulders anyways. Ball joint, a shock absorber, and 2 springs were the casualities :p

    3. Getting pulled over by 2 state troopers for 82mph one of which circled around my car for 5 min and when i asked him if anything was wrong he said he was looking for mods because he didnt believe that thing could go as fast :p
