So I get a call today from an officer telling me while my car was on the Ford dealer lot being worked on, it was broken into and everything was taken. All my CDs my headunit my radar detector everything. They also totally destroyed two Harley Davidson Edition F-150s. FROM THE DEALER WTF is that shit. I was totally bumin because they were so good. They drilled out my lock and left no fingerprints. They took all of my stuff and I only have liability on my car so they won´t pay for anything. I´m so pissed!!!

I´m sorry man! that does really f´in suck. I had my car broken into 2 or 3 weeks ago, all my cds and radar detector. luckily they left my head unit, which had the face plate still on it at the time. I know exactly how you´re feelin right now. There weren´t ANY cameras on the Ford dealership??? i find that hard to believe. Good luck in finding the perps. sorry it had to happen though

Yeah, you would think that they do have cameras but I havn´t even seen my car yet so I don´t know what all was stolen, there was just some obvious things the cops told me. All I hope is that Ford feels bad for what happened and hooks me up with some stuff.

I thought while it was sitin on the their lot it was coverd under their insurance. I would check that out, their insurance should be bying you all new stuff. Maybe i am wrong but I though thats how it worked if the car was in their care. Good luck to ya though, that really does blow pretty bad.

Alright I just got back and my car door lock was pryed out with plyers or somethin they got my head unit first then took my clutch pedal off, I had aftermarket pedals, got all my CDs tore one of my seat covers got my front speaker amp, my shift knob, ruined my perfectly new painted center console and dash. Tore my seatbelt, tore my whole CD dash part out. And stole my floor mat (only the driver side). Whats wierd is that they only got one pedal off, and only tore my seat cover off. The guys at Ford told me they must have been scared off by something and stopped stealin and left. Another thing is that the Ford Lot didn´t even have cameras in the lot. Ford told me they will fix the car but can´t replace the materials inside. Hopefully homeowners will cover it.

Thats bullshit. they should have to replace everything or put the car inside the building when being worked on. They carelessly leave peoples things sitting around. i´m surprised the car was locked.

Yeah I don´t think they´re taking it seriously, the guy I was talkin to said when I wanted to know how they would fix the door lock he told me you can always cover it with ductape that fixes everything. I guess I was the only one who didn´t think it was very funny.

Does it suck? Yes.
Can you do something about it? Yes.

Look into the insurance issue... they should cover it. Ask other dealers what they would do in this sitation.

The dealers told me that all they cover in this situation is any damage to the body. Anything on the inside isn´t their responsibility. I was like, they wanted the cheap way out cause all they have to do is replace the door lock or maybe the entire door but if my insurance doesn´t cover all the shit inside, I´m out way more than what the dealers have to pay. And the cop that made the report is on vacation until Monday, which means no car until after the report.

Their paperwork may say only covers physical damage, but here´s what it sounds like to me::: Sounds like the person(s) that broke into your car WORK THERE!!.

They might have known about no camera´s and, if they didn´t leave fingerprints it coudl of been because they were wearing latex gloves and had it planned.

At Sears here´s how things go for us: All cars being worked on have to be locked on a lift in the shop. If the shop got broken into, we cover everything. But then again Sears usually doesn´t try to screw customers and ALL Ford dealerships suck in some way.

I really hope all works out for you. Hey if there´s any music that you really really need to get, let me know.. I have like 15GB of mp3´s most are complete albums too.

Hey thanks a lot Blade. Hopefully a deal will be worked out cause I´m not about to lose out on all my shit with them not doin anything about it. I gotta wait til Mon. before anything with the police report can be done. I´ll update everyone and I´ll try to get some pics posted of the damage.

Fight the power. and get what you want

Find out the law in this situation, there a quite a few lawyer/consultant type people that will answer question for free or a small fee. All you need is enough proof that the dealer is legally reponsible to repair/replace all goods.

Next you take the dealer to court, and as long as the law is on your side, you either win your case, or Ford will settle out of court and "kindy" replace your stuff.

A similar situation happend with a buddy of mine, of course this is canadian law as well so who knows...

So I got my car today you can´t even tell except the paint looks nicer around the handle and such but next is to get all my shit back FORD didn´t charge me for 300 dollars of work so It looks good and they didn´t do a bad job. I´ll post the updates of the stuff back and I´ll post pics of the interior.
