Okay so I saw this auction on ebay for aftermarket high horsepower halfshafts for the 1.9L. I knew they had to be custom made somewhere so I asked who made them so I could look into getting some for my EGT. I know once I boost up to 14psi my drivetrain is not going to be that friendly with me.

Here´s a copy of our email correspondence and how rude he was, and how he insulted ALL of us on here. I say dont buy from him....even though the half shafts could be quite appealing.

No in my response email I sent after posting up, I told him how rude I thought he was, then appologized because I guess I could understand the "I put an intake and exhaust and got 20HP because I drive a Civic DX" attitude, and sent him the link to my homepage, and then told him to check out the FEOA anyhow. I´m just hoping he sees this post when he does visit

Yeah I try not to brag about how much better my car is over someone elses with a "know it all" attitude, because I´ve found there are alot of people that really know their stuff, they just dont have the time or cash to make it all work. I just feel lucky I was able to go the hard road and do the turbo install, learn about it, and now spend the months hating how its not working right and learning how to trouble shoot it.

Yeah blade I wish i had the time and money to go that route with the turbo. I have been looking through the junk yards for a turbo but they usually go pretty fast when they come in. But I want to turbo my scort in the worst way. To do it your self is the best way to learn naything, even the all the problems that come with it are a good education.

I disagree with you 100%. I know quite a few Escort power enthusiasts who have Escorts ranging from 1.8L turbo-charged models, guys who are looking at importing the Laser from Australian (AWD turbo), guy who have dropped Taurus SHO engines in their Escorts, etc. All of whom are not "loners" and are more than happy to share their knowledge and experiences with the rest of us aspiring "ultimate sleeper car" owners. I myself had completed and documented numerous modifications to both Gen 1 and Gen 2 escorts and have no problem sharing those with the rest of the community at www.feoa.net. Don´t get me wrong, if you don´t want to share your knowledge, that´s fine. I´m sure you´ve worked long and hard to obtain everything you know to make your Escort an 11 second car. However, for you to make such a generalization regarding the rest of us Escort Power Enthusiasts is both unfounded and ludicrous. I have no doubt that I can get custom half-shafts manufactured at just about any speed shop willing to give it a try as I know that I can bring them multiple orders for a product that they will spend the time manufacturing. In closing, thank you for your prompt response to my question, but I disagree with your generalization and I look forward to seeing you on the track.
