it's an 89 fastback

plans are as follows

motor swap with possible an RB26DETT and RB25 Tranny

front end conversion to S15 style cause it looks sweet and I don't care for pop up headlights

suspension work and five lug conversion with 300zx brakes and soem other mild stuff tot he appearance

if things fall through for the RB26DETT, I will be installing the DOHC KA24DE with a turbo upgrade...either way I should make it down the track rather nicely

and next fall after my wife graduates from college we are looking to buy one of the following...Mercedes SLK, Audi TT roadster Quattro or Porsche Boxter...we do like convertibles...lol

have u researched mashing an RB26 in there?? if i recall, it doesn't fit.. i think it's a bit too big, and it won't fit.. although an RB25 will fit... i'll ask a nissan guy that's knowledgeable again..

mm i like the S15 front end.. looks sick.

so is it gonna be a nice mix of show/go???

and suspensioin work.. is that drift? ( ) or jus tlower it a bit, for better handlig, etc.?

the RB26 does fit lately and there is a company in CA that now offers a kit for the install...no more hacking and welding to install it..plus they do a conversion on the harness to work also...found that info in the Nov issue of Import Racer Magazine...doubtful that I will be into drifting...simply because that maybe I am old fashioned or something, but racing is holding the racing line without sliding...but that's just me...I think drifting is cool to watch...just not really my thing...will most likey get into some drag events here...and possible asome light auto x-ing if the rb does not prove to be too much of a detriment to the handling balance...it is after all a bit heavier and all...

this is somewhat what I have planned...mainly I hope nott o have as many graphics on mine and I will paint it with midnight pearl purple...also here is a link to the page I have set up for it

So you have a 240SX... a buddy of mine has one too....with an assload of work into it and it looks amazing. Check out his cardomain site.

Humm since the 240 SX is in the TOP5 cars for the best balance...i think you'll still be good to auto-x with the rb26 under the hood !!!
Man this project sounds cool..
my friend wanted to do the same with his 95 240sx...but the poor guy rear ended some dude on a very dangerous bridge around here in rush hour!...so BE SAFE MAN!:p

thanks, I did not think it would happen either until recently...I am just ready to move on to other projects....I still love my scort which is why I am hoping to sell her to seomone here rather than just anyone....at least with someone here I can feel fairly sure that it will still be treated right....I'll still come around from time and again...too many good ppl here to just leave...hey...I know...since I am not going to have a scort anymore...maybe I can become a mod....lol...j/k...had to throw one in for fun :D

i've noticed a trend in the escort world. everyone here seems to love their car a lot, and will dump unmentionably large amounts of cash into their econboxscort and once they get into some kind of fenderbender or somewhat-major accident, they sell it. i think it's the destruction of their project car that takes away thir passion for their car.
it's a terrible thing, but usually someone else or a few people from here will benefit from that person's loss.

good luck on the sx! those are good cars, and at least you didn't buy a cavy!

Have yuo researched about the Audi TT? Consumer reports said last year that it was one of the worst new cars to buy. They said it drives awesome, and is very powerful, but falls apart from the day you buy it. (Audi parts aren't very cheap, either)

you know, my ideal next owner of my scort (if i ever have the heart to sell it) would be someone who makes it a show car..... and doesn't drive it at all.

glad to hear you found a buyer so fast!
