I AM INSTALLING AN AFTER MARKET TACH AND NEED TO KNOW WHERE I GET THE TACH SIGNAL FROM ON MY 92 FORD ESCORT LX

whats his name with the white pony and the evo front bumper has a nice how-to page. It's one of the wires on the EDIS-4 ignition module. I think it's the green one. That's the signal wire. The rest should be self-explanitory.

8O Well. I bet DIS was the hott ish back in '92, wasn't it? That seems pretty high tech for a dozen years ago.. :)

Edit - Siragan's refering to 91sleeper.

i like how u did it but i jus not sure wat wires are the ones u used to do this......( like hwere there located and what colors they are) dont mean to be a pest or nuttin but kinda hard to jus look under the dash and see a million wires and know which one to splice into ya know.....

The wire for the tach signal is not under that dash, it's on the EDIS4 module in front of the battery. The tach signal comes from the on spot on the plug where there is no wire.
